Echinodorus rubra is a beautiful and neat aquatic plant originating from South America.  A mid-sized plant really that's easy to grow. Leaves start off a pinky colour and then mature into solid green. Stays small at 30cm providing there's enough light so great for smaller aquariums.

Please note in the wintertime, some leaves take on a dark purple curled appearance. This is down to the Metal Halide lighting used but once the plant is underwater, the leaves soften back up and look normal. In the summer you won't see that type of leaf growth.
