Nymphea rhizome bulb - flowering plant for large aquariums or ponds
Nymphea rhizomes are typically used in large aquariums and ponds and are sent as a bare bulb. The picture shows it with leaves but these often disintegrate upon new water conditions only to throw out new shoots and flowers once settled in.
They are very easy to grow and relatively large with the rhizome being about 10cm long. They can be left simply floating on the surface (they'll flower and grow quickest that way) or you can anchor them in a pot with weights.
Under optimal conditions, the Nymphea rhizome bulb will flower but only when it's the spring/summer time when the water is warm and the sun is shining.
