Bucephalandra pygmaea ‘Bukit Kalem’ is a very compact rhizome plant with small, rounded leaves and a deep green tone that can show subtle sheen under good lighting. Its slow growth and miniature size make it ideal for detailed layouts where scale and balance matter.

It should be attached to wood or rock rather than planted in the substrate. Growth is slow and controlled, making it easy to manage and long lasting once established. Low to moderate lighting is sufficient, and while CO₂ is not essential, it will support healthier growth and stronger colour. Its compact form makes it particularly well suited to nano aquariums and fine hardscape detail.
