Eleocharis acicularis is a fine-leaved carpeting plant with thin, hair-like blades that create a natural, grass meadow effect in the foreground. It has a looser, more flowing look than shorter Eleocharis species, making it ideal for open, nature-style layouts.

Plant in small portions across the substrate and allow runners to spread. Under moderate to strong lighting it forms a soft, even carpet, while added CO₂ will improve density and speed of growth. It’s a relatively forgiving carpeting plant that adapts well to a wide range of planted aquariums, though regular trimming helps keep the height under control once established.
