Taxiphyllum ‘Flame’ is a distinctive moss known for its upright, twisting growth that resembles flickering flames. The deep green shoots grow vertically rather than spreading flat, making it ideal for adding height, texture and contrast to hardscape without overwhelming the layout.

It should be attached to wood or rock using thread or glue, not planted in the substrate. Growth is slow and controlled, which makes it easy to maintain once established. Moderate lighting is sufficient, and while CO₂ is not essential, it will encourage stronger, more defined vertical growth. Occasional trimming helps keep the flame-like shape tidy and prevents detritus from collecting.
