Vesicularia montagnei ‘Christmas’ is a distinctive moss known for its layered, triangular growth that resembles the branches of a Christmas tree. Its deep green colour and structured form make it ideal for adding texture to wood, rocks and hardscape.

It should be attached to surfaces using thread or glue rather than planted in the substrate. Growth is slow to moderate, but very controlled, which makes it easy to maintain once established. Moderate lighting is sufficient, and while CO₂ is not essential, it will encourage denser, healthier growth. Regular gentle trimming helps maintain its compact, layered appearance and prevents debris from settling within the moss.
